Plan your unforgettable day in a 19^th century historical home, where weddings have been a tradition since 1871. The natural beauty of the home and the grounds is breath-taking and will create elegance to any event.

Planning a wedding can be exciting, challenging, and downright unnerving. Let our in-house wedding and event planner assist you with your special day. The Woodruff-Fontaine house has a preferred caterer list, and can recommend vendors to fit your needs and budget.

The front lawn of the Woodruff-Fontaine house is a beautiful place to say “I Do.” From spring till November when the grounds are in bloom, the scenery is enhanced by nature, you might not need to have any additional decorations. The front lawn can accommodate up to 250 guests.

There is also a lovely side garden with a fountain should you need a smaller area to exchange your nuptials or to have a cocktail hour after you have exchanged nuptials.

Wedding Reception

You can choose from our rustic-English feel Club Room or Carriage House for your wedding reception.

The Club Room provides an ambience of a rustic-English feel. It truly takes you back to the period of when the house was built. There are two large and two smaller rooms featuring brick, stone, beamed ceilings and four faux fireplaces enhanced with twinkling lights. The Club Room can accommodate up to 125 people.

Carriage House accommodates up to 200 people should you need to host a bigger wedding reception. This charming Carriage House has open French doors that lead to the outside garden area by the fountain. The west room has a door that leads to the side courtyard. It is the perfect venue for a spring or summer wedding when nature is at its best! Carriage House features two large rooms, a bride’s room, a large caterer’s kitchen, and restrooms upstairs and downstairs. On the second floor is a spacious area for the bride and her party to get ready for the wedding, and a window that looks out to the front lawn.

A tent can be set up by a vendor and beautifully decorated with chandeliers and ceiling draping to make sure every moment of your wedding is perfect. During the cooler season, the sides of the tent may be wrapped to provide heating or air conditioning.

The Gingerbread House is available for rent should you need an area for children to gather during your wedding reception. See below for more details.

Special Events for Children

Host your child’s next birthday party in the storybook-like Gingerbread House! Built in 1906, the house is delightfully decorated with children’s theme and artwork similar to the Victorian era. Your child and friends will definitely fall in love with this cute fairy-tale party house. This building would be perfect for a small baby or bridal shower. If it is used as a child’s birthday party venue, bonnets, boas, gloves and purses can be used for a Victorian Kodak moment!

The Gingerbread house can accommodate up to twenty children. We offer unique party favors, coloring books, custom activities, etc.
